Winter 2016/2017

When the sun sets on December 31st every year we are given the opportunity to wait for the sunrise on January 1 and begin the process of becoming co-creators in a new year.

The new year can bring hope and light and a renewed vigor for a new beginning and a brighter future.

It doesn't happen just by wanting it to be so. It happens because we can make a choice to connect to the good that has been placed in all of us and allow that goodness to be reflected in our actions toward all and not just for our own selfish wants and needs.

My selfish need is time. There never seems to be enough of it to do the things that I most want to do in this life. But this year 2017 has brought in some different feelings for me. I have that renewed vigor and passion to participate in the world in a different way. I refuse to allow the spark that was placed in my heart that created a burning desire to bring people together to be snuffed out. I ask you to unite with me to become ambassadors of kindness and good will around the world. We can be a part of this changing world and let this movement become a flame that blazes a trail of light where we recognize , respect and treat one another with the dignity and respect.

Welcome to the

PLATINUM CONNECTION

Stay tuned...

Autumn 2016

This great country of ours stands today in a unique position facing a challenge that has been touched, considered, and attempted by the generations before us, but never fully taken on, leaving us to put it to rest. We are faced with the challenge of bringing together a multicultural nation and transforming our “melting pot” into a mosaic - a mosaic of individuals who share as many similarities as they do differences, all tasked to unite in the similarities while respecting the differences. The bloody battles of war and the legal battles in court have been fought; today, we fight the personal battles amongst ourselves, the battle to overcome prejudice and misunderstanding so that one day we can live in a world where we know that, truly, each of us matters equally - and this might just be the most challenging battle yet. Our success or failure as a nation is deeply dependent on whether we choose to move forward together, while the world watches to see if this “superpower” can meet this hurdle with strength and dignity. Can we do it? Can we create a better place for all of us to live, work, and play? Will we be successful as we transition the culture of our nation to meet the demands of an increasingly diverse society? I think we will, even if we do it just one person at a time.
